Researcher

Specialized in adolescent peer relationships and bullying

Welcome to my website!

My name is Lydia Laninga-Wijnen. I am a researcher and university teacher, specialized in adolescent peer relationships and bullying. My mission is to identify how peers can help adolescents in adverse circumstances, for instance, when they are being bullied. I have started up my own research line in which I examine whether being defended either helps or hurts victims of bullying. The main aim of this project is to identify Success factors that Optimize the Long-term Impact of Defending.
